                                        Teryx 750 first in class 749cc V-Twin

While the Teryx 750 RUV is well suited for play
                                with is large mid-chassis mounted v-twin 749cc
motor adapted from their popular Brute Force ATV
producing 44.2HP at 6000RPMs, aggressive handling,
solid frame and suspension components, and a roll
cage that meets SAE regulations it still maintains
its working heritage. The Kawasaki Teryx 750 comes
standard with a large cargo bed carrying up to
500 LBS, built in tie down hooks and cargo net
standard. A full size 2” receiver is able
to tow 1200 LBS. The LE version comes with a dump
                                bed for greater versatility.

Once in the cockpit of the Teryx there are
a few things to notice. The controls were all
were they needed to be and did not leave one
to search for the correct button when in a jam.
The lowered padded steering wheel gave excellent
control with plenty of room for your hands at
all positions. On the passenger side of the
Teryx, there is a massive glove box with ample
storage, but a less than desirable latch mechanism.

Kawasaki put in place a compression rubber
grommet and metal barb in place of an actual
latching device, so only time will tell if this
item wears out or not. However we are happy
to report that with a glove box full of water
bottles for the days ride, nothing came loose.
The fuel gage on the Teryx was much like the
older Rhinos. A simple slot in the plastic underneath
the passenger side seat for visual inspection,
but a large 7.9 gallon fuel tank insures an
                                  excellent range of travel.

                                    | |

Lastly a great little feature was the floor
board and foot rest area. Kawasaki actually
pushed the front plastics out a few inches wider
than the rear end and seat area to allow for
more leg room, and a large foot rest for the
driver. While the floor board had foot guards
designed to help keep your extremities in, in
case of a roll over, there are no doors or nets
offered for the Teryx at this time. Also the
passenger had no extra grab handle for their
left had, as their right hand had the choice
of either a cage mounted or seat mounted handle.
Not a huge safety concern, but something to
                                  consider.

While we tested the base model it is important
to know that there are two other versions of
the Teryx. The LE version comes with additional
features like a dump bed, hard top, retracting
cup holders, half windshield, and digital meter.
And for the sportsman Kawasaki is releasing
the NRA Outdoors ™ rough and ready hunting
model. The NRA model comes with additional features
like the tilt bed, digital meter, camouflaged
dashboard with dual cup holders, camouflaged
hard top and rims, a half windshield and dual
                                  gun scabbards.
