After the frame was straightened they had to
rebuild all the suspension mounting points on
the rear of the vehicle and some on the front.
All the frame mounts and tabs were cut with
a CNC and machined from 4130 steel and every
weld on the car was reinforced for strength,
so it could hold up to the added weight of the
race ready vehicle.

After the Polaris RZR XP 900 was structurally
sound and tracking straight, the Turn Key UTV
crew added all the custom fabricated parts to
include the roll cage, bumpers, nerf bars, roof,
doors, side steps, and personalized #549 front
grill. In addition to TurnKey’s fabricated
bolt-ons and mods, I have added Maxxis Big Horn
tires mounted on DWT’s SECTOR 3 beadlocks.
Also, I installed Elka Suspension all around,
Beard Seats with 5-point harnesses, a Sparks
Racing Exhaust, and K&N air filter.

Unfortunately, the Polaris RZR XP 900 rebuild
took much more work than expected, and it wasn’t
ready to race at the Glen Helen WORCS season
opener, but I was lucky enough to have just
received the all-new 2012 Polaris 4 seat RZR
XP 900 SxS, and WORCS allowed one “free
pass” on all the new safety requirements,
so I was able to race at Glen Helen and secured
a 5th place finish in the stock 4-seater to
carry me into the 2012 racing season.

Shortly afterwards, I received the news that
the TurnKey UTV crew had the RZR XP 900 ready
to race, and I was amazed at how awesome it
looked when I picked it up at their shop in
Nevada. It is bright white and has a really
clean and simple look that is easily identifiable
out on the track amidst the borage of SxS vehicles
that are showing up in record numbers to the
2012 WORCS Series. I couldn’t wait for
the chance to race it at WORCS round 2 in Primm,
Nevada.
I wasn’t alone in my quest to race at
Round 2 as there was a record setting 70 SxS
entries at Buffalo Bill’s, which included
38 entries in my class (SxS Production 1000)
alone. There were so many entries that the the
SxS Production 1000 class would have to be split
up into four rows. Luckily, I was able to start
on the lead row based on my finish at Glen Helen.
