2014 Polaris RZR XP 4 1000

2014 Polaris RZR XP 4 1000 Long Term Review
::Continued::

One major upgrade to the Polaris RZR XP4 1000 is the new doors, which are easy to operate and have held up great to six months of abuse without any changes in how they work.  They make it very easy to get in and out of the RZR, which is a big improvement over the door nets on the previous model, and they are the smoothest operating doors on the market for any SxS.

The doors that come standard on the Polaris RZR XP 4 1000 are arguably some of the best door that come straight from the factory. The automotive design make them easy to use and to get in and out of the Polaris RZR

The Polaris RZR XP4 1000 also comes with new Walker Evans shocks that have 18” of travel and make the RZR XP 4 1000 sit taller as well.  The larger shocks have allowed for the weight of the longer SxS to still provide a smooth ride, even when all four seats are filled.

The suspension and longer wheel-base allow the SxS to travel through deep whoops with ease and actually faster than we expected. The taller SxS tends to feel like it is rolling a bit more on the top side when we go through tight turns. After a short time of getting used to that, we could maneuver the SxS with just as much ease as the prior four seat model.

The Walker Evans shocks do a great job of soaking the the ruts and whoops

The most impressive aspect of the new Polaris RZR XP 4 1000 is the horsepower. The combination of dual overhead cams and electronic fuel injection with the larger 999cc engine has provided plenty of horsepower for multiple high-speed thrills and massive hill climbs.  The increase in horsepower is very noticeable from past four seat models and we were very impressed with it.
