Chassis:
The frame is constructed of high strength and light
weight round chromoly tubing with a cast aluminum
sub frame to further reduce over weight. Overall width
of both Outlaw models is 47” front and rear
which allows for greater stability in cornering. Both
units have a wheel base of 71.5” which provides
a well balanced chassis that turns very sharp and
has the proper weight bias front to rear. The seat
height for the Outlaws is a comfortable 32”.
Ground clearance at the lowest point of both models
is 5” below the swing arm skid plate.

Body:
There is no mistaking these two new models for Outlaws
as they share the same sleek front plastic as the Outlaw
525 IRS, and have an all new redesigned rear fender
that utilizes built in plastic support struts lessening
the need for heavier metal brackets. The front plastic
flows well right into the seamless side panels that
provide a nice smooth cover for the fuel tank. Polaris
knows seat comfort is a must for long days at the track
or in the dunes. The seat on the Outlaws have plush
foam that extends well up the tank to give the rider
comfort no matter were they are on the ATV.
Conclusion:
Overall I was very impressed with the Outlaw 525S and
the Outlaw 450MXR. Polaris has shown they really listen
to their customers and are trying to give them what
they want. Polaris accomplished this by increasing power,
decreasing weight, and increasing simplicity of the
components on these models and has produced a winning
combination that is sure to please ATV enthusiasts everywhere.
Whether you’re a racer that desires great handling
and arm ripping acceleration or a weekend warrior that
just wants a comfortable ride with plenty of sand shredding
power Polaris has the model for you.
