#202 Angel Atwell - Quick Facts
Birth Date: 12/19/1980
Height: 5' 7 "
Weight: 130lbs
Hometown: Grove City, PA
ATV: KTM 450XC
Angel Atwell began her racing career nine years ago; the same year she bought her first quad. “I bought a Yamaha Blaster and went out and started racing right away. After my first race, I was hooked,” said Atwell, whose first race was in the Women’s class of the GNCC series, which she has been dedicated to ever since.

Last year, Atwell won an amazing five out of thirteen rounds, but it wasn’t enough to dethrone Traci Cecco, who had been a dominating force in the Women’s class for several years. It was Atwell’s impressive performance and consistency that caught the attention of KTM/FRE’s Tim Farr. “The Women’s class is a very competitive class at the GNCC and draws a lot of attention from both spectators and the media, so I think it was pertinent for us to have a rider in that class. I knew Angel had a lot of potential and I knew that if she had the right program behind her, she could also have a shot at a championship,” stated Farr.

#202 Angel Atwell has kicked off the 2009 with an amazing four straight wins along with a third place finish at Loretta Lynn's, which has her 6 points ahead of multi-time champion, Traci Cecco

This season, Atwell has taken four wins out of the first five rounds and leads the Women’s class points race, even with little seat time on her new KTM 450XC. “I didn’t sign on with KTM until mid January, so I didn’t have a lot of seat time. The bike was really easy to adjust to though. We went out and trained and practiced for about three days, but I couldn’t really tell if I was faster or not. Then we went to a race and I ended up being quite a bit faster than I expected,” stated Atwell.

Atwell’s goal for this season is simple. “Bring KTM a championship!” she exclaimed.

With her positive attitude and determination to win, it seems likely Atwell will accomplish her goal.
