Sand Hollow State Park OHV Area SxS / UTV Adventure Ride Part 1
::Continued::

Sand Hollow is the prefect testing ground for those who want a variety of terrain. There are many sand dunes, high-speed desert areas, sand washes, whoops, and long horsepower robbing hills. Right after the staging area you have a choice to ride in the valley or up on top of the cliffs. We took the high road and booked it up the hill.

Sand Hollow Golf Resort & Spa is located right next to the Sand Hollow OHV area & offers a 7,300-yard, 18-hole golf course designed around the natural landscape

To my surprise, as we were climbing this hill, I saw a couple of golf carts out of the corner of my eye. I thought to myself – “How the heck did they get up here!?” Sure enough I took a closer look and there was a golf course running right along the trail! Even though it felt like we were in the middle of nowhere, a golf course was made called Sand Hollow Golf and Resort.

There are many whooped out sandy sections at Sand Hollow State Park OHV Area that can truly put your suspension to the test!

Shortly after we made it up the hill, we soon found ourselves in a long whooped out section of desert sand that weaved in-and-out of the desert brush for miles. The thing I quickly learned about riding in the desert is that you want to stay away from the plants if possible. Most of the vegetation in the desert is angry and they like to bite your fingers, legs, tires, or whatever else comes close to them.

I highly recommend if you are doing any kind of desert riding I would suggest investing in at least a 6ply tires that will resists puncture and before your stranded with a flat!

It is highly recommended that you bring along a riding buddy & GPS at Sand Hollow State Park as it is easy to get lost on the vast 16,000 acres of land

It is also recommended that you ride with someone else, just incase you experience any issues you won’t be stranded by yourself in the middle of nowhere! Sand Hollow consists of 16,000 acres and it is very easy to get lost without some kind of navigation. Even though we did not have a GPS, we were able to navigate just by paying attention to our surroundings.
