Graydon Proline Nerf Bars
(written by 00hondaEX)
These nerf bars have held up great and seem to be high quality, but were a bit pricey over my previous DG Alloy's. I like them a lot more and the look is much better over the square look of the DG. I have already been through my first race with them and there are very few scratches. Most of them were done by big rocks kicked up by other quads. I was not used to having them on and accidentally kicked them with the steel toe of my boots. It didn't scratch at all.
The installation to the quad was more difficult because we had to drill two holes in the front of each foot peg as well
as one on each side of the cross bar in front of the engine connecting the nerf bars. To show the durability of these
bars, I broke a drill bit while drilling the cross bar part. I chose to leave the stock black plastic pieces behind the
foot peg by cutting part of the outside edge with a pair of tin snips. You could take them off easily but I would occasionally
hit my heel on the tire. You can adjust the width some, but not much.
The most time consuming parts were drilling the holes and putting on the nets. The nets were kind of hard to put on and took awhile, but no more difficult than the DG.
I would recommend these bars to anyone. They are high-quality, fit well and look good. They cost anywhere between $150-180. I paid $150 for the DG. I think I got ripped off on the price because they said the Graydon nerfs only cost $160, but when I called them they asked for $180. I was in a hurry and needed them here fast so I paid it any way.
