Greg Gee makes the move back to the
Pro Class with Epic Racing on the CanAm
DS450 ATV |
Jeremy Lawson, who stood second on the podium
under Byrd last year, has made the move to the
Can-Am/Epic Race team this year along with teammates
Sage Baker and Canadian Greg Gee. Another Canadian
racer, Richard Pelchat, also made his national
debut on the DS450 as part of the Can-Am X-Team.
The new Can-Am Warnert team consisting of John
Natalie, Jr. and Cody Miller also made their
national debut. Unfortunately, Miller was sidelined
for the season opener. Miller had been at Glen
Helen on Friday when he began having chest pains
and was taken to a local hospital. Miller was
released on Saturday, but was not given the
ok to race until further tests can be done to
ensure that he is in good health.

Suzuki
has a new rig for 2008 along with three
new mechanics wrenching for Doug Gust, Dustin
Wimmer, and Chad Wienen |
Team MSR / Pro Taper/ Yoshimura / Suzuki is back
in force with its same three factory racers Doug
Gust, Dustin Wimmer and Chad Wienen returning for
2008. Also, Kory Ellis has taken over the role of
Team Manager with Jeremiah Jones continuing his
training and consulting role with the team. Wienen
and Wimmer have been training hard all winter in
preparation for the 2008 racing season, and Doug
Gust under went sinus surgery to help him breath
better for the Motos, which he feels held him back
in 2007, so he wasn’t able to ride as much
over the winter, but it wasn’t very obvious
at the season opener.
