Racing Pro Report

“I had a really good night. All of my races went well. I was in third but I wasn’t really able to make anything happen, so I ended up finishing in third,” said Creech.

Daryl Rath was one of only two Yamaha riders in the Pro class, and despite it being a new ride for 2014, Rath seems to have dialed in his program. Rath had a good start in the number three spot, but he wasn’t able to hold off Chuckie Creech to maintain the final spot on the podium, but Rath did hold onto a fourth place finish.

#67 Daryl Rath finished
fourth in the Extreme Dirt Track Pro Class
followed by #117 Jared Hulliung &
#24 Josh Hibdon

The number 117 of Jared Hulliung held off a cluster of competitors and was able to round out the top five in the Pro class.
In the Pro-am Unlimited class, Maul Tech ATV’s Michael Houghton came away with the win. Houghton, like many others, knew that the start he got could mean the difference between victory and defeat. Houghton was prepared and grabbed the holeshot. Despite pressure from the rest of the field, Houghton led from start to finish for the win.

“The Hoosier tires got me off to a great start first of all, and I got to give a shout out to Pippard Performance and Houser Racing. It’s been a really tight track all day and I believe the holeshot was the ticket here and that’s kind of what I geared up for. I got that and came away with the win! I’ve been doing really well so far in the Unlimited class as this is my second win. There’s great competition, and I really can’t wait to get to the next round! Hibdon was right on me the whole race, and I just put my head down and made sure I hit all my points, and it was my race to lose, and I just kept it clean and came out with the win,” said Houghton.
