NE EDT Racing Freedom Speedway Race Report
::Continued::

He was able to maintain his pace and continue his lead to come away with the win and the checkered flag. The win put him just two points outside of tying Houghton’s final overall points score of one hundred and sixty one points. Creech’s second place finish overall on the season was hard-fought and well-deserved.

Brian Ace NE EDT Racing

Brian Ace finished in close second in the Pro-Am Class

Walsh Racecraft / FLY Racing / Doonan Racing’s Brian Ace had a fantastic run for himself as well coming out of the holeshot in second place behind Creech. Ace was able to also maintain his pace and battle behind Creech to fend off charges from Damian King early on in the race and then Tiffer Bures late in the battle. Ace came across the line in second place gaining some extra points for himself in the title hunt where he was able to bring home a very respectable third place overall finish on the year after a few hard rounds early in the season.

Kris "Tiffer" Bures NE EDT Racing

Kris "Tiffer" Bures rounded out the Pro-Am Podium in third

Tru-Way Racing / Fisher Cycle / Spider Graphix’s Kris “Tiffer” Bures got off to a top-five start in fourth place behind Damian King and quickly made work of him to slide past and up into third place behind Creech and Ace. Bures is no stranger to running up front with Ace and Creech as he has done many times in the past and this season alone. With a properly setup machine and two extremely fast racers ahead of him, Bures was able to stay on the heels of Ace as they hooned around the track sliding through every sweeping turn trying to pass each other. Bures was finally forced to settle for a third place finish, giving him his second podium of the season in the Pro-Am class.

Big Dawg Racing / B&B Motorsport’s Aaron Medlin and 720 Self Storage / ESJ Graphics’ Johnny Mac were in a tight battle for the top five position with Mac holding down fourth place for the majority of the race. It wasn’t until later in the event that Medlin was able to maneuver around Mac to take over the fourth place spot where he finished for the main event leaving Mac for the top five finish in fifth place.
