Polaris Yoshimura Eichner Racing’s Doug Eichner
came off the line with amazing speed to take the
holeshot. “My Maxxis tires really hooked up,”
said Eichner. Eichner led for part of the first
lap before losing his front brakes and falling back
to 11th place when he had to pull into the pits
to fix the issue. “I went back out there and
did my best to catch back up. I worked into 6th
place and was gaining on Row and Nelson, but I didn’t
have enough time to close in for a pass,”
said Eichner, who had to settle for 6th place.

#5
Doug Eichner grabbed the Holeshot followed
by #149 Sage Baker, #6 Mike Machado &
#94 Dustin Nelson |
MCR’s Mike Cafro, who has been very consistent
in his finishes over the last few races, once
again ran strong this weekend. Mike was in the
top ten off the start and quickly worked his way
up to 7th place. Cafro fell back to 8th place
at one point, but mounted a charge and regained
his position before crossing the finish line.

Pro
ATV Motocross Racer made his debut with
the DATS / Kawasaki Team, but after running
in the top 5 after lap one, the rocks took
him out of the race with a mangled rear
brake rotor |
Can-Am's
Quadcross Racer, Sage Baker, also made his
return to the WORCS Series for the 2nd time
this season, and he held the lead for two
laps before fading back in the pack to finish
in 17th place |
Justin Waters was looking good as he rode a smart
and consistent race. Waters was in 12th place
at the end of the first lap but maintained his
focus to work himself into the number eight spot
before crossing the finish line. Jorie Williams
stayed consistent to take the number nine position
and Jose Ramirez had his best finish so far this
year, rounding out the top ten.
