Once in the lead, Borich began to steadily increase
the gap between him and the rest of the pack.
Borich rode a smooth trouble free race from start
to finish and reached the checkered flag with
over a two minute lead on second place Jeremie
Warnia. “It was pretty fun. I’ve heard
a lot of good things about the series and I wanted
to come out here and see what WORCS was all about.

                                  | Suzuki's
Chris Borich didn't waste anytime taking
over the lead in the 2nd lap by passing
Can-Am's Jeremie Warnia. In the 3rd lap,
Borich recorded the fastest lap of the race
with a 11:07.9, and by the checkered flag,
Borich held nearly a 3 minute lead over
Warnia in 2nd place. | The track was really similar to the tracks in
North Carolina so it was an advantage for me.
I came out to have a good time and now I think
I might try to hit up one of the desert rounds
as well,” said Borich, who was sporting
the number 281 for this race instead of his usual
#2 that he uses at the GNCC.

Kawasaki's #7 Robbie Mitchell also made
his return from a shoulder injury, which
has had him sidelined since Round 2, and
unfortunately, his bad luck continued when
his chain derailed in turn one, which sent
him back to last place | Yamaha's
Dustin Nelson was holding the 3rd spot till
lap 5, when he went off the track into a
mud pit, which sent him a lap down &
luckily Robbie Mitchell stopped to help
him out, so he was able to salvage a 14th
                                      place finish |
Can-Am Motoworks’ Jeremie Warnia was second
off the line behind Yamaha’s Dustin Nelson,
who grabbed the ATVRiders.com holeshot award, but
Warnia fell back to third when Borich powered his
way to the front. Warnia would hold third for a
couple of laps until Nelson, who was in second,
went for a dip in a waist deep water hole.

With Nelson out of the way, Warnia was free to
start pulling away, but despite his best efforts,
Warnia was not able to catch up to Borich and
had to settle for second place. “He is really
fast!” Warnia said of Borich after the race.
“I tried my best, but this time I had to
                                take second, Warnia concluded.

Jeremie Warnia was on the move as he secured
his second straight 2nd Place finsh |
Series points leader Beau Baron was looking good
off the line. Baron charged hard, but would spend
a good part of his race battling it out with Polaris’s
Doug Eichner who edged him out on the start. After
battling with the veteran racer for a couple of
laps, Baron was able to make the pass. Baron led
for a few laps, but Eichner got by when baron
stopped for gas at the midway point.

Beau Baron claimed the final podium spot
as he maintains the Pro Points lead over
Josh Frederick by 17 points with 2 Rounds
to go. | Then the battle ensued once again. Baron really
began to apply the pressure and the pair ended
up connecting, which sent Eichner off the track
and gave Baron the number three spot, which he
would then hold all the way to the finish line.
“What matters is that I was able to finish
ahead of Josh (Frederick) and keep the points
lead. I’ve been working hard all season
and I really want to win this,” said Baron.
