Can-Am Motoworks’ Jeremie Warnia grabbed
his first ever Pro WORCS holeshot at the final
round. “I was very excited to be out front.
That was my first holeshot in WORCS,” said
the French rider.

Motoworks'
Jeremie Warnia claimed a WORCS 1st Holeshot
at the Mesquite MX by barely edging out
Yamaha's Dustin Nelson who has claimed the
past three Holeshots |
Warnia would not be able to hold his lead however
and would fall back several places after having
a close encounter with a tree. Luckily, Warnia
was ok and charged back to finish in the number
three spot, which would also give him third in
the pro points.

Chad Wienen, the newest addition to the Can-Am
Motoworks team, was sporting pink riding gear
this weekend in order to promote Breast Cancer
Awareness Month. “I think it’s a good
cause and I’m hoping to draw recognition
to it, and someday, hopefully, they will find
a cure,” said Wienen, who has a personal
stake in cancer awareness after his mother lost
her battle with cancer.

Motoworks
/ Can-Am's Chad Wienen made his debut with
his new team in Canada just a few weeks
ago at the Montreal
SX and brought home the win, and he
appeared to be on his way to another win
at Mesquite MX when he built a commanding
lead early in the race before a crash took
the wind out of his sail, but he did prove
that he is right at home with his new team,
and I expect Wienen to finish on top several
times in 2010 |
Wienen’s pink gear wasn’t the only
thing that got everyone’s attention though.
Wienen was having a good go of things as he was
second off the line and took over the lead by
the second corner. Wienen had pulled an eight
second lead by the time he left the motocross
section and headed into the off-road portion of
the course. Unfortunately for Wienen, he would
not be able to hold his lead after a brief dismount
in the fourth lap and would fall back to fourth,
where he would hold steady all the way to the
finish line. “It was a long race and I kind
of hit my knee really hard when I crashed, so
that made it a little harder to keep up that pace
for the entire race,” he said of his fourth
place finish.
