Race Report
::Continued::
In the Pro Unlimited race, FOX’s Ryan Piplic
doubled down by also winning, leading every lap
and nursing a failed front differential to net
his second class win this season and pad his points
lead in the class. RJ Anderson finished second,
ahead of Matthew Hancock’s non-turbo machine.
Cody Bradbury and Bill Chambers rounded out the
top five.

Hancock (3rd) |
“It was super dusty and muddy so it was really
a battle with the conditions, but I walked away
with that one,” said Piplic. “I blew up my front
diff on the last lap and it was hard to control,
but we held on. I like the high-speed desert section
of the track, but I don’t like the wooded area.
Then again, my two wins say differently.”

Ryan
Piplic extended his points lead in the Pro
Unlimited SxS class to 24 points with his
fifth podium finish & second win of
the season |
Holz’s RJ Anderson recorded his second-straight
runner-up finish. After a bad start, he had to
climb back through the field and nearly caught
Piplic at the end.

RJ
Anderson secured his second straight 2nd
place finish in the Pro Unlimited SXS class |
“I got a bad start and I had to pick my way through,”
said Anderson. “I got right to the back of Ryan
at the end. I just wish I could have had one more
lap. I’m stoked to put the Polaris RZR Turbo on
the podium for Holz Racing and Walker Evans Racing.
Second is good. I’m stoked to land back on the
podium.”
Maxxis’ Matthew Hancock’s third-place effort
represented his second Unlimited podium of the
season. Interestingly, he’s driving a normally
aspirated Polaris RZR that started out as a backup
car.

Matthew
Hancock secured his second podium finish
in Pro Unlimited UTV race in just his third
race in the class |
“My Sparks motor took off ahead of all of those
turbos,” said Hancock. “The first lap, I came
through third on time so I just had to keep my
head down. This engine has two years on it and
the car probably has 50 hours on it. It’s out
here racing with turbos. We had some tuning issues,
but it ran great and it held together. I couldn’t
ask for more out of the car.”
SDi’s Cody Bradbury nursed a broken front differential
to finish fourth in two-wheel drive. “I got funneled
back in the start so I hooked up with RJ and were
going to the front,” said Bradbury. “I broke an
axle and my diff. I pulled into the pits and finished
the race in two-wheel drive. I had speed in both
classes, but it wasn’t my day. I just ran around
going for points. There are still two races left
and they are tracks that I like.”

Cody Bradbury just missed the podium with
a 4th place finish, which currently has
him 5th place in points |
