One of the features that we were most impressed with
was Can-Am’s addition of the Garmin in-dash
GPS system. The unit was easy to use and comes in
quite handy when out exploring the trails, dunes or
even out on a night ride, as it allows for easy mapping
of the route taken. In addition, the GPS unit is removable
so if you get to your destination and decide to go
for a hike, you can bring your GPS with you and track
your hike as well.

The addition of a premium sound system to the Commander
is icing on the cake. There are four speakers that
have excellent sound quality even at high volume and
are weather resistant. The adapter for your MP3 player
or iPod is conveniently located in the glove box to
protect it from the elements, which is an excellent
idea for keeping your electronic devices protected.

The Commander 1000 Limited has a unique feature in
the way of its two-piece full hard roof, allowing
for customization and a unique look while helping
to better protect occupants from the elements. There
is also a half windshield in the Commander 1000 Limited,
limiting trail debris from entering the cab while
allowing for maximum air flow. A 4,000 pound Warn
winch is included in the Limited package along with
a heavy duty bumper, rear net, mudguards, and a dual
level cargo box with rails. The box is separated by
a removable waterproof panel and has the most volume
capacity in the market.

Overall, we think Can-Am has done an excellent job
on the new Commander 1000 Limited edition. Either
the Orbital Blue or new Pure Magnesium painted plastics
are very eye catching and the overall look of the
machine is nothing short of awesome. With the addition
of GPS, a premium sound system, and great suspension,
the overall performance, luxury, and quality of this
machine can’t be beat and we hope that we can
have one of these amazing machines parked in our garage
in the future.
