The brakes were good and we felt we had plenty
of stopping power even going at full throttle.
The UXV has a center console mounted parking
brake that was easy to use, but we do wish there
were an indicator light for it, just in case
one were to forget that it is engaged before
taking off.

Despite
it's stationary steering wheel, the Kymco
UXV 500i UTV has a comfortable cockpit
that is large enough for tall drivers |
As far as ergonomics go, the seats were comfortable
and there was enough leg room for even the tallest
riders. The steering wheel in the UXV is stationary,
but it is positioned well so that it was not
an issue for us at all. One thing we hope to
see in future models are flexible seat belts
as in some of the rougher trails, they were
little hard on the shoulder when we were getting
jostled around.

The
Kymco UXV 500i Side-by-Side features a
tilt bed & large storage compartment
under the hood for storage |
Kymco has taken the liberty to give the UXV
models plenty of storage with a full sized rear
box and an under-hood storage compartment. The
tilting rear bed has a 420lb. capacity and the
UXV 500 comes standard with a tow hitch and
2” receiver that can tow 1200 lbs.

A
locking glove box and gas cap keeps your
fuel and carry-on's safe |
One of the features of the Kymco UXV 500 line
that stood out to us was that all models come
with a locking glove box and locking gas tank,
to keep your valuables and gas safe when you
are away from your machine.
Overall we think that Kymco has done an excellent
job in providing a value based Side-by-Side
vehicle that is well rounded and suitable for
work or casual play. And with a sticker price
that is thousands less than their competitor’s
models, the Kymco UXV 500 line up is certainly
a great value for any consumer who is looking
for a quality Side-by-Side.
