In the suspension department, Polaris equip the 2015 Polaris Sportsman XP 1000 with front dual A-Arms and Rolled Independent Rear Suspension (IRS) on the rear that creates 10.25" of travel providing a smoother ride and less squat during acceleration. The plush suspension design and 26-inch tall tires create 11.5 inches of ground clearance that makes navigating roughed terrain much easier. We were happy to have the extra ground clearance while navigation of the many rocks at Hog Canyon OHV area.

The 2015 Polaris Sportsman XP 1000 features the highest pulling and towing power in its class at 1,500 lbs./680.4 kg. The Polaris Sportsman XP 1000 also comes with a 2,500 lb winch that is standard issue. A switch that is conveniently located on the left side of the handlebars can easily operate the winch without ever having to leave the machine. The new winch system can also be purchased as an aftermarket item for other Polaris Sportsman models.

Another convenient new feature on the Polaris Sportsman XP 1000 are integrated snowplow mounts that eliminates having to add additional hard wear to the machine. You can now drive directly into the snowplow to lock the plow in place and get on your way to plowing snow.

Polaris put a lot of thought into the new Polaris Sportsman XP 1000 and were glad to have a chance to test it out first hand. We had a blast riding the 2015 Polaris Sportsman XP 1000 and Hog Canyon OHV Area provided a nice mix of terrain to put the new vehicle to the test. If you are an adrenaline junkie, but still want a machine that you can utilize for work, the 2015 Polaris Sportsman XP 1000 just might be the ride you need.
