The stock 4 ply rating Duro tires gave the Arctic Cat Wildcat a good bite in the desert sand, but we had to watch not to hit to many sharp rocks as the stock Duro tires are prone to sidewall puncturing. We would recommend purchasing a set of heavy-duty tires like the Maxxis Bighorn 2.0 tires if you were mainly riding in harsh desert terrain.
Assisting the Wildcat 4’s handing is the variable assist electronic power steering that makes the steering effortless. Along the trail we came across many rocks that would of normally yanked the steering wheel out of our hands without EPS.

Arctic Cat’s variable assist electronic power steering system takes in account steering input force versus tire resistance and vehicle speed and provides assistance to the steering column through an electric motor. The all-new Arctic Cat Wildcat 4 also features a tilt steering wheel that can be adjusted for your preferred height.
Despite having a longer wheelbase, the 2013 Arctic Cat Wildcat 4 1000 SxS / UTV has predictable steering and we were able to navigate down the trails just fine without any issues.

Arctic Cat designed the 2013 Wildcat 4 1000 SxS / UTV with several features that helps bring the 4 seat machine to a stop. For 2013, Arctic Cat added twin piston brake calipers up front, which dramatically improve the the stopping ability. The twin piston brake calipers really come in handy when making an abrupt stop with a full load of passengers.
